Brady signed a contract extension in March that included a $28 million signing bonus. The deal lowered his 2016 base salary from $9 million to just $1 million in the process. The lower base could save Brady close to $2 million in game checks if his four-game suspension is upheld stemming from the “Deflategate” saga. Brady inked a new endorsement deal with Tag Heuer in 2015 and is featured in a new ad campaign for Simmons Beautyrest brand. Other marketing partners include Under Armour and UGG Boots. Brady led the NFL in merchandise sales during the 2015 NFL season.
